High PTC Ratings

Canadian Solar’s key products rank among the top PTC ratings of all solar modules tested by the California Energy Commission. PTC measurement is a mandatory test in California and measures PV system power output at atmospheric conditions closer to real-world climatic conditions. A higher PTC rating indicates higher actual production on site per watt installed.

ESE Cell Technology – Mono: 18.5%, Poly: 17%

The Enhanced Selective Emitter technology optimizes the cell production process to increase cell efficiency by enhancing the uppermost coating of the solar cell exposed to light for super blue response. The ESE technology enables the surface to absorb more light in varied conditions and improves efficiency at higher temperatures. This technology also reduces hotspot risk due to the ultra low reverse current based on perfect junction characteristics.
